Short Term Accommodation Agreement
Purpose of this agreement
This Short Term Agreement is a description of the arrangement between the Divine Retreat Centre (DRC) and
yourself in relation to your accommodation provision. DRC does not house any one under the age of 18, (without
their parents or guardians) even so, it is the responsibility of the centre to safeguard those who work with the
children and young people who visit DRC.
Accommodation Details
Accommodation may be provided for a time frame of between 1-7 days, and after this period, if you wish to
extend your stay, you are required to re-register with permission from the Director and the Safeguarding Team.
During your stay at the Centre please follow the following Code of Conduct:
● Smoking, drugs and drinking alcohol are strictly prohibited within the premises
● You are requested to maintain silence throughout your stay, and utilise your time here to strengthen your
relationship with God
● During your stay, please ensure that you dress modestly
● If you are taking medications, please make sure that you continue taking them as per your Doctor’s
instructions. If you start to feel unwell, please alert one of the health and safety officers
● Please inform the centre of any allergies and medical issues we should be aware of during the registration
process
● You are not permitted to enter any of the restricted areas, such as all kitchens, priests’ residence,
community room etc, without prior permission from the director or administrator
● DRC is not liable for any special, direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages to, or losses of, your
personal belongings
● DRC provides free parking on site, however, DRC is not responsible for the security of your vehicle(s) or
its contents
● Parents are required to supervise their children at all times, especially when using shared facilities, the car
park and in the garden areas
● Videography and photography within the premises are strictly prohibited due GDPR policy
● Please respect other people who are at the centre. If any disrespectful or bullying behaviour is observed,
the safeguarding team has the right to deny or shorten your stay, or ask you to leave the premises with
immediate effect
● Please do not enter any of the rooms before registration. You must not enter any other room than the
one allocated to you
● Please be aware that CCTV is in operation at the centre
● Spiritual Guidance is provided only by authorised priests. No volunteer or other persons are authorised to
do this
● DRC does not provide advice or guidance on medical, financial or legal matters
● DRC is not liable for any personal data, including your phone number, which you give out to fellow
retreatants or any other personnel.
● Please be aware that if you have severe physical or mental health issues, or addictions (for example,
alcohol or drugs), you may be refused accommodation as these items are prohibited in the centre, and it
is not equipped to deal with withdrawal symptoms, should they arise
● You are not permitted to invite guests to enter or stay in the premises or in your rooms
● First Aid and Fire Safety equipment are in place at the centre
● Please clean your room and keep it tidy before you leave the premises
● Pets are not allowed within the premises.
